He emphasised on the pride Indians should take for India being the land that has given Yoga to the world.  Anthony Phelips then continued to explore what the meaning of ‘yoga’ is with Sister Jayanti, European Director of the Brahma Kumaris, and Dadi Janki. Sister Jayanti shared simple and effective ways to understand and practise Raj Yoga as practised by the Brahma Kumaris, whereby each one can experience their inner self and then ‘yoga’ or ‘union’ with The Divine. ‘It is in this connection we experience the might and light that comes from The Divine and this is yoga power’. There were three 5 minute powerful silences observed in between the conversation.

Dadi Janki shared that it is not a ‘big thing’ to become a yogi. It simply requires attention and understanding to establish a loving relationship with God in different forms such as Mother, Father, Friend, Teacher and Supreme Guide. Yoga means remembrance of the Divine so that we forget the consciousness of the body and all the things of this material world.

‘Take your mind to the home of the Supreme beyond and connect with the Divine who is up above there, feel the light and might, the power and then be detached. That is yoga’ explained Dadi. She also mentioned how Bhagwan, the God, is the bestower of fortune and how great fortune is to see every human being as a child of God and a family. Dadi concluded her wisdom stating that ‘With Yoga we can be instruments to bring vibrations of peace to the world and this can only happen when we go into silence. With patience and determination we can show wonders’.

Event concluded with sharing of prasad, blessings and spiritual vision with each one of the attendees.
