World Peace Meditation campaign writes history

“Make people experience Peace together” was what echoed from various corners of the world. More than 2000 APP downloads were experienced from over 70 countries who participated in the FIRST EVER GLOBAL synchronised meditation on 21 September. UK, the USA and several other European countries, a large contigent from Oman , Dubai and other Asian countries like India, the Far East , Middle East all came together at 3.00 pm BST and experienced the invaluable guided meditation in the voice of HH Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Reports and pictures have poured in from Mexico, Malaysia, Ecuador, Canada, London, Muscat, Abu Dhabi
and Jaipur, India. Individuals and large groups came together to meditate and wrote spiritual history. The number of people participating across the globe would have exceeded 200,000, say the organisers. Post 21 September, the excitement is still ongoing as reports are pouring in.

The ripple effect of the wave of silence that the global meditation generated world over would have lasting impact say the organisers and project leaders.
Leaders of the World Peace Mediation project , The Art of Living Foundation and the International Association for Human Values in partnership with other voluntary and Peace organisations had joined hands with the First World War Centenary Partnership Program, www.1914.org of the British Government’s Department for Media, Culture & Sports, The Dalai Lama Foundation, Unify, Peace One Day, Religions for Peace, 1GaintMind, Tony Samara, Feel Good Communities CIC., Here and Now 365 to launch “WorldPeaceMeditation” innovative mobile APP on iOS and Android platforms based devices(mobiles/tablets).
Technology with the modern MOBILE APP did the unthinkable – it brought people together from all parts of the world! In a course to commit to reform the current chaos, and reassure the humanity that we are all going to work for the better and global peace..

According to Project Leader Shailen Mittal, ‘’Available on the APP is Path 2 Peace which is the daily peace quotes and action tips.’’ The practical “Path to Peace” which is a structured program of daily quotes and action to perform is designed specially to provide a practical route to inner peace and peace in the outer world, adds Mittal.
Furthermore, Mittal says,‘’the APP is available at the same cost. ‘’ He explains that this is , ‘’people’s contribution and sponsorship to enable peacekeepers go into war zones as users cannot. ‘’

Distinguished leaders supporters of the Global Peace Campaign, with their Peace Selfies, had earlier joined hands and had appealed to the world for Global Peace. The long list included, India Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Hon. Member of British Parliament, Bob Blackman, Harrow East, London, humanitarian and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, among other celebrities.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a humanitarian and spiritual leader and an active proponent of global Peace said, “Meditation is that technique that puts us in touch with ourselves. Meditation is that inward journey to find peace.”
International Day of Peace is observed around the world on September 21 every year by the General Assembly of the United Nations for strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples. This year, the day has a particular significance, since 2014 marks the 100th year of beginning of the horrific World War I.
