Asian Star talent Search on Monday

Asian Star Overview Asian Star sport talent search winners will be invited to join the Chelsea Foundation’s Football Development Centre…reports Asian Lite, the Best Newspaper for British Asians.

Launched in 2009, Asian Star is the first scheme of its kind to be undertaken by a professional football club and is designed to give a much-needed boost to Asian participation at all levels of the game.The event starts at 9am and ends around 4pm with a prize giving ceremony.

More than 400 young players are expected at Cobham, where they will compete in a series of matches and tests to examine speed, skill and ability. The winners in each age group will be invited to join the Chelsea Foundation’s Football Development Centre.

Chelsea will also be inviting managers, coaches and scouts from clubs at all levels of the game to identify talented youngsters, and once again they will work closely with coaches from the Zesh Rehman Foundation on the day. There will also be workshops and useful information available to parents.

Asian Star sport talent search will take place on Monday (May 25) at Cobham training ground in Surrey.
