HEY, WHERE ARE THERE?

DAILY DOSE By Bikram Vohra

Every now and then I get a little bit angry. But it is not because of an eclipse of the heart. More because I feel like that guy in the boat who was left stranded midstream. That is what Indian media does, they leave you grasping for oars to get to some shore.
Angry Computer BreakLike where is that fellow Babaram Asar, the guy who got his jollies troubling minors. Is he locked up? Where? And the Tarun Tejpal case. Whatever happened to him? Is Sanjay Dutt on furlough or back in the chink. What about the BJP activists who attacked African women and entered their homes.
The guys who raped the girl in a bus in Delhi….have they been made an example of or are all these passing showers in India’s sexual monsoon.
The hanging tree accused. The fellows who raped a woman in a village for making a police report. The 11-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly raped by a teenage boy at a village in Tamil Nad. The 14 boys who were rewarded by the village panchayat with permission to rape a woman who complained to the cops of harassment.
The case of the cops who raped a complainant, dull day at the office.
Police arrested a skating instructor for the alleged rape of a 6-year-old at an elite school in Bangalore. Cuts no ice unless there is some follow up.
A 22-year-old woman was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by the son of a BSP leader in Bangalore raising concerns about women safety in the IT hub. What happened to that scumbag/ Did daddy save his sorry little ass.
An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint in Bhensaheri village of Muzaffarnagar but the rapists are still free.
These are just a few examples but the story spikes, dies, fizzles out like those firecrackers leaving only spots before the eyes.
Ergo, there should be a monthly update, like let us know if the assailants are moving up the assembly line of canned justice or simply enjoying three square meals a day.
Like I really want to know where is Babaram Asar?
Especially in a nation where a Bihar minister held mobile phones and non-vegetarian food as reasons for a surge in rape cases and favoured a ban on cell phones among school students.

“Many students misuse mobile phones by watching blue films and hearing obscene songs which pollute their mind.” Bihar Art, Culture and Youth Affairs minister Binay Bihari made this astute observation to be bettered by another minister who blamed chow mien (it is a Chinese dish made in India, you moron) for this rampant sex.
Damn, there goes my Nokia and my lunch.
