First ‘Selfie Tour Bus’ in Barcelona

selfieWhen it comes to selfies you thought you’d seen it all – from belfies to selfie sticks, and even selfie suitcases – but today the phenomenon went one step further, as the first ever Selfie Tour Bus hit the streets of Barcelona.

The 50-seater London route master bus, has been created by mobile network Three, to coincide with the addition of Spain (and New Zealand) to its 16 Feel At Home destinations from today, 1st April, which allows holiday goers to use their phones abroad at no extra cost.

According to research from Three, British holidaymakers love nothing more than showing-off from their holiday hot spots, with 30%* admitting that bragging is in their top five vacation activities. The Selfie Tour Bus has been introduced to cater for this selfie loving traveller, to ensure their holiday Instagram posts, Facebook albums and tweets, are nothing more than picture perfect, with the help of the most beautiful backdrops the city has to offer.

Taking to the tourist trail, the Selfie Tour Bus will run from today 1st April, stopping-off at some of the city’s most brag worthy destinations, including the majestic Magic Fountains, the iconic Sagrada Familia and the historic Gothic Quarter. As the bus pulls up, passengers will be invited to jump off to pose for their perfect selfies, whether it’s a pout, peace signs or playful poses with friends, before sharing them instantly without worrying about roaming costs.

The high-tech bus will be equipped with everything passengers need to create the perfect photographs, including an exclusive preview of Samsung’s hotly anticipated new device, the Samsung S6, with its amazing camera capabilities creating professional looking images at ease, selfie sticks and much more.

It doesn’t stop there, at each stop on the Three’s Selfie Tour British holidaymakers will be made to feel at home, with a series of surprises to remind them of being back on British soil, from a busking Freddie mercury and Brian May to the Queens Guards popping up to say hello at the Sagrada Familia.

Tom Malleschitz, marketing director, Three commented: “Now that Three customers can use their phones in Spain at no extra cost, we expect British holiday makers in Spain to go selfie mad this summer, and what better way to kick it all of and allow them to enjoy all that free roaming has to offer than with our Selfie Tour Bus in Barcelona. We expect a whole lot of holiday spam to hit the internet over the next couple of days – sorry in advance.”
