England and Wales could experience the hottest day of the year as warm weather continues.
According to the weather forecasters, the temperature could rise above this year’s record of 26.5C, recorded in Writtle, near Chelmsford in Essex, on Monday, reported the Guardian.
Over the past week, temperatures have increased to four or five degrees higher than average for the UK in June.
Meanwhile, MeteoGroup forecaster George Goodfellow stated that cooler weather was expected this weekend.
It is expected to remain cloudy in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
