AOL, Honeypot join hands to serve kids for Xmas

The Art of Living Foundation joins hands with Honeypot Children’s charity and invites you to join its creative service campaign to help children during the ongoing Christmas season and to spread that joy of sharing and giving gifts.  The organisation earnestly appeals to all to be part of this Mission Santa!

‘’A child’s smile is possibly one of the greatest gifts in life,’’ says Neha Sanghrajka Faculty and volunteer of the Art of Living and Coordinator of this project. With the charity Honeypot, this Xmas season, ‘’we are collecting new toys and books for these children under their care,’’ she informs.

Elaborating on the details of the campaign , Neha said to donate a NEW toy or book for a child aged between 5-12,  donors can leave the toy at  the  Art of Living North London Center: 68 Colindale Avenue, Cecil Road, London, NW9 5DR

She informs that toys need to be donated by December 15th, 2014

If the locations is not near and if one has a general query then donors may  contact: Sarita Menon: sarita@uk.artofliving.org  or on  07795 675 400

It is reported that Honeypot which has partnered in this project has been working since 1996 to enhance the lives of vulnerable children from difficult backgrounds and circumstances.

The organisers of the campaign point out that these children are even more special in that 70% of them are actually classed as young carers where they are the responsible person in the household because their parents or family members are unable to take care of themselves. Can you imagine a 10 year old child making sure his/her mother takes his medicine on time or helping his/her disabled brother eat his breakfast?  These children are heroes in their own way but as result of their circumstances the childhood many of us have enjoyed passes them by.

Honeypot’s vision is “One chance at childhood” and they do what they can to make sure these children can experience the joy and freedom of being a child. Every child deserves a gift at Christmas, so the organisers hope ‘’people will join by donating a new toy and watch the wonder as these special children open a gift they would never otherwise get. ‘’
