UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has led UAE’s riders to victory in the Windsor Royal Endurance Race.
King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Queen Elizabeth II of the UK attended the 120km endurance competition at Windsor Great Park.
Sheikh Mohammed participated in the first loop of the race, thus launching his debut participation in the European endurance races and encouraging UAE riders in preparation for the FIA World Endurance Championship in August.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain’s Supreme Council for Youth and Sport (SCYS), shared the top title, finishing the 120km race in 4:52.30.
On the margin of the race, Sheikh Mohammed exchanged cordial talks with the Queen on horse races and festivals in the UAE and Britain and their significant role in promoting the equestrian sports locally and internationally.
