A UKIP parliamentary candidate was dramatically suspended from the party tonight after Mirror investigators filmed him threatening to shoot his Tory rival.

Robert Blay, who is standing in North East Hampshire, made the shocking threat of violence against Conservative Ranil Jayawardena reports Daily Mirror.

Former bank accountant Blay, 55, who used to be a member of the Conservative Party, told our reporter that Jayawardena had been tipped to potentially be the country’s first British Asian Prime Minister.

And in a vile and shocking outburst, he raged: “If he is I will personally put a bullet between his eyes.

“If this lad turns up to be our Prime Minister I will personally put a bullet in him. That’s how strong I feel about it.

“I won’t have this f***** as our Prime Minister. I absolutely loathe him.”

A would-be MP has hit back at a UKIP rival who threatened to shoot him in the face.

Ranil Jayawardena spoke out last night after the Mirror revealed about the rant at an event hosted by Nigel Farage.

Blay, 55, said the Tory candidate for North East Hampshire was “not British enough” to be in Parliament and accused his Sri Lanka-born accountant father of “poncing off” Britain reports Daily Mirror.

Now the candidate, who has been tipped as a contender for Britain’s first Asian Prime Minister, has made an impassioned defence of his family on Facebook.

He wrote: “I was shocked to hear about these comments and that someone who holds these types of views could have been selected as a UKIP candidate.

“My family believes in hard work. My father came to this country to do just that – never claiming a penny from the state.

“He’s contributed to society as a magistrate – and I’ve done the same as a local councillor.

“I hope to contribute positively to our country by representing my community – the community in which I grew up – in Parliament.

“The only way to stop people like this is to vote Conservative on May 7. ?#?VoteConservative? ?#?NEHampshire? ?#?AgainstRacism?.”

Blay has been suspended by UKIP.
