British South India Council of Commerce and British Business Group Chennai in association with Goa Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) , The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) & Cochin Chamber Of Commerce And Industry (CCCI), organised a business meet ” UK Business into Renewed India” at Parliament House in London.
The business meet had 18 speakers with UK and South India expertise who participated in the business meet. Some of the noted speakers who participated in the business meet include Mr.Bharat Joshi ( British Deputy High Commissioner based in Chennai), Mr.Mike Nithavaranakis ( Ex- British Deputy High Commissioner ),Mr.Christie Cherian ( Chairman, BBG Chennai), Mr. S G Prabhakaran (MCCI Chairman) , Mr. Rajeev Nevgi (GCCI Chairman) , V.J.Mathew( CCCI), Mr.Mayank Prakash (Director-General, Dept of Works & Pensions-IT Services, UK )
The business meet had about 160 delegates registered to attend the meet and about 25 delegates travelled from various South Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Telangana to attend meet. The purpose of this meet was to generate traction with UK M/SMEs to come to renewed Indian economy with new Government initiatives and the focus was on Trade / Auto & Advanced Engg / Renewables/Healthcare & Innovation.
