The newest member of the British royal family, Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, would make her first public appearance since her birth when she would be christened on Sunday….reports Asian Lite News.
The two-month-old princess would be christened at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Queen’s Sandringham Estate, Mirror online reorted on Saturday citing details released by the Kensington Palace, the royal residence at Chelsea in London.
The princess’s late grandmother Princess Diana was also baptised at St. Mary Magdalene Church on August 30, 1961, when she was almost two months old.
According to reports, Prince Harry was a favourite to be a godparent but he will not be present as he embarked on a three-month trip to Africa at the end of June in the knowledge that he would not be needed for the ceremony.
Her godparents will be announced on Sunday. Bookies are strongly favouring her aunt Pippa Middleton, as well as Princesses Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of York.
The service will be performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
