Amitabh Bachchan’s Yudh,  Directed by Anurag Kashyap, was one of the most highly anticipated TV shows this year. The series also features the likes of Kay Kay Menon and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. With a powerful star cast and an intriguing plotline, one would expect the show to have become a smash hit. The news however is different. Just a few days ago, BollywoodLife presented youthe ratings of the show which weren’t impressive to state the least. Yudh opened to 0.7 TVR last Monday and closed the week at a low 0.6, bollywoodlife.com reported.

Constantly being compared to Anil Kapoor’s 24, the series had received a lukewarm response by the public. The ratings and reviews certainly seemed to have effected the protagonist Amitabh Bachchan’s mood. Big recently tweeted about the drop in the ratings of the show on IMDB with it going from 9.4 out of 10 to a 9.2.

The tweet read,” Imdb ratings for #YUDH astonishing numbers .. its 9.2 today was 9.4 a few days back ! House of Cards, True Detective, GOT, same !” The megastar in his tweet has compared the ratings with popular television series like Game Of Thrones and House Of Cards.

Well the sudden change in the ratings does come across as surprising. But with the show failing to garner a successful viewership in the first place , the makers certainly had this coming, we anticipate.
