Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister N. Chinarajappa will be the home minister while another Deputy Chief Minister, K.E. Krishna Murthy, will look after revenue, stamps and registration.
Three days after the state cabinet was sworn in, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu Wednesday distributed portfolios among the ministers.
Naidu will hold general administration, law and justice, energy, infrastructure, investment, industries, commerce, cinematography, tourism and other portfolios not allocated to ministers.
Naidu and 19 ministers had taken oath Sunday at a gala ceremony near Guntur.
Senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Y. Ramakrishnudu is the finance minister. He will also hold the portfolios of planning, commercial taxes and legislative affairs. He had also served as the finance minister in the united Andhra Pradesh.
Ch. Ayannapatrudu has been allocated panchayat raj while B. Gopala Krishna Reddy will look after environment and forests. D. Uma Maheswara Rao will be the irrigation minister.
Educationist P. Narayana, who was surprisingly inducted into the cabinet despite not being member of either house of the legislature, has been given municipal administration and urban development.
Paritala Sunita will be minister for price monitoring, food and civil supplies. Palle Raghunath Reddy will take care of information and public relations, information technology and minority welfare.
Naidu has allocated agriculture to P. Pulla Rao, Ahuman resources development to G. Srinivasa Rao, women empowerment to P. Sujatha, labour and employment to A. Kinjarapu, transport to Raghava Rao Sidda, rural development to K. Mrunalini, backward classes welfare to K. Ravindra and social welfare to R. Kishore Babu.
Two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) representatives K. Srinivas and P. Manikyala Rao have been allocated health and endowments respectively.
