Brazil’s defender David Luiz admitted that his team faced difficulties against Croatia and Mexico but hoped that they would put up a better show in their last group game against Croatia Monday in Brasilia.
The Paris Saint-Germain defender admitted that Brazil can improve during the World Cup, reports EFE.
“We can be better, it is going to be difficult, we are fully aware of what we will face” said Luiz in a press conference Saturday at the Brazilian football headquarters here.
The defender added that Brazil are now “mature”, and it showed when they came back from a goal down to beat Croatia in the opening match of the World. Luiz said they had a difficult game, a barren draw, against Mexico and it made them tougher.
Team mate Marcelo underlined that his team played a better match against Mexico, saying that there is still a chance to correct mistakes against Cameroon.
Brazil lead Group A with four points and Mexico are second also with four points on goal differences. Croatia are third with three points while Cameroon fourth with zero points.
