Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif would be accompanied by Sartaj Aziz, adviser on national security and foreign affairs, as well as Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry on his India visit to attend the oath-taking ceremony of Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi.
In a statement, the Pakistan Foreign Office said that Prime Minister Sharif, who has accepted the invite to attend the ceremony, would be travelling to New Delhi May 26.
Besides, Aziz and the foreign secretary, he would also be accompanied by the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi.
The statement said that according to the programme received from India, Sharif would be holding a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi on the morning of May 27.
He would then call on President Pranab Mukherjee.
He would return to Pakistan in the afternoon of May 27, the statement said, according to a release by the Pakistan High Commission here.
Sharif has already congratulated Modi over his victory in the election.
