A group London-based dancers thrilled the Londoners with Bollywood flash mob…reports Asian Lite News
Just like food is the spice of life, dance is the magic, which transcends cultures and brings together people in a way like never before. So whilst watching a dance reality show, a group of dancers, mainly students from the Shiamak Davar’s The Dance Academy, thought why not bring Bollywood dance to the streets of London, with the simple mission statement – “put music to our troubles and we’ll dance them away” – given the daily grind we face day to day living in this concrete jungle.
Starting with just six dancers, our group quickly grew to 50, with dancers emerging from all corners of the crowd dancing to catchy Bollywood tunes, as bystanders looked both delighted and bemused.
Titling themselves as the BollyMobUK, collectively they’re all big fans of a popular Indian dance show ‘Nach Baliye’ (literal translations “Dance with me my Beloved”), which is currently on air on UK’s official number 1 Asian TV channel Star Plus. The dancers also descend on various locations across London, which included Tower Hill, Liverpool Street, Southbank, Wembley Central, Harrow on the Hill and Hounslow Central.
