What is it with people that they can actually get mean over a sports fixture. A little bit of fun humour that comes out from both the Indian and Pakistani sides is earthy, hugely imaginative, and win or lose, you tend to laugh with it and enjoy the surge of imagination. That sort of stuff is fine. Humour is intelligent and good humour, even when you are at the receiving end is that much much more intellectually stimulating. People work at to and some of the lyrics and plays on words are very impressive.
Where it goes wrong is when you become mean or malicious and a sort of hatred leaks onto the tweet or the post and that is ugly.
Then the fun of winning is ruined. Sure, India has been playing the odds and coming up good each time. One day it will end, nothing is forever. And sure it is nice to be on the winning side but would I get nasty? I think not.
Which is why the media hyper tees you off. So you end up turning a game into a mockery and burning TV sets and going on the rampage and that is so unfair. Go out there and play and then let’s see what you do.
Time it was that India and Pakistan got over this rot. You guys are not that good. On both sides your bowling sucks and comeuppance is not far way. The Irish might beat you, too.
