A 39-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to assaulting MP George Galloway in a London street, according to a BBC report. Neil Masterson, of Campden Hill, Notting Hill, denies assaulting the Respect MP for Bradford West while Mr Galloway was posing for pictures in nearby Golborne Road on Friday.
The MP is believed to have sustained broken ribs and bruises to his head. Masterson appeared at Hammersmith Magistrates’ Court and denied religiously aggravated assault. Galloway has been a vocal protester against Israeli atrocities against Palestinians.
